200 mi Ragnar Relay Results

I may or may not have mentioned in a previous post that I was suckered into signed up for a 200 mi relay race with 11 of my friends from my Hashing group.   The race was from Cumberland MD back to Washington DC.

Each runner had to do 3 legs of the race, all the legs were different distances, but my total ended up being just over a half marathon at 13.4 mi.   It took my team 28 hours and 42 min to run the distance which had us in 58th place overall out of 262 teams.  Which I think is not too shabby since most of us were just cruising.  The hardest part of all of this is that there was no opportunity to sleep.

Did I mention that we camped the night before? You know how camping goes, you don't really sleep either. so it was like 48 hours of no sleep with a half marathon and 200 mi of driving with stinky runners and no showers.  It was a blast but Saturday night I slept like 16 hours just to try and catch up a little.

I am still recovering and I am glad  I don't have to do it again soon, but I could do it again.
