What happened to Thanksgiving?

This past weekend I decided to finish out my Christmas Shopping (yes, its early, yes, I am type A and no, I didn't finish because my father is behind on putting his list together-do not get me started). So me and a few girlfriends trucked out to the outlets that are an hour away.

Over all it was successful, but I am not sharing what I purchased because some of the folks who I bought for sometimes read this and what is the fun in that?

On the way back, we swung by Target.  I thought I would pick up a few Thanksgiving decorations to put on my apartment door.  Now this Target was a SUPER Target, the mecca of all things inexpensive and commercial.  much to my surprise all they had in regards to Thanksgiving was a sad little display on the end of an aisle in stationary that had a paper table cloth, some plates, and napkins. THAT WAS IT!

Their Christmas displays were out of control already and they Had 4 aisles of Halloween decorations but when did the retail world up and decide to SKIP THANKSGIVING!  I don't understand its one of the few holidays where you can eat, watch football, and are not obligated to purchase presents.

*Insert fist shaking here*

Sigh, I guess I shall just have to go out and collect leave to make my own wreath.
